Double bioreactor was previously used for fungal applications and features two vessels with a working volume of 20 liters each and a total volume of 30 liters per vessel, including a 2-liter jacket. Both vessels are made of stainless steel (SS 316 / 1.4404 and 304L / 1.4307) and are equipped with a range of systems and sensors, including an air/N₂ gas system, a CO₂ gas system, temperature sensors in the vessel and jacket, and a pressure sensor in the lid. Each vessel has an oval sight glass, an internal lamp, and a U-shaped agitator driven by a frequency-controlled servomotor. The setup also includes two Tool-Temp AG TT-133 pre-heater water bath systems, each with a power rating of 13.9 kW. The bioreactors are controlled via Siemens/Infors systems with two HMI touchscreens.
